Geohazards 7 Abstract Template/Guideline - MS Word

Abstracts in English or French must be submitted through the Online Abstract/Paper Submission page of the Geohazards 7 conference web site. Authors will be asked to indicate the technical theme under which they wish their paper to be presented.

In order to ensure all abstracts meet the conference's presentation requirements, a Template/Guideline has been prepared. All authors must use the template and follow the guidelines to help ensure presentation uniformity in the conference's online technical program calendar and proceedings – submissions that do not follow the guidelines will be returned. Please take particular note of the abstract word count.

The deadline for abstract submission is November 1, 2017. Invitations for the submission of full papers or extended abstracts (an option for poster presenters) will be sent by December 1, 2017 to authors whose abstracts are accepted by the conference's Technical Subcommittee.

Guidelines for the preparation and submission of technical papers and extended abstracts will be posted by December 2017 or before. Authors of accepted abstracts must submit their full paper or extended abstract by January 31, 2018, along with at least one full conference registration. Authors are expected to present their paper during the conference.

Full papers and extended abstracts will be reviewed for clarity and technical merit. In cases where the reviewer feels revisions are necessary, reviewer comments will be provided by February 28, 2018, with revised papers being due by March 31, 2018. Accepted papers, for which at least one author has registered for the conference, will be included in published digital proceedings of the conference, which each registrant will receive as part of their registration fee.

Final decisions regarding technical merit, relevance, the assigned session topic for submitted papers and the presentation format (oral or poster) will rest with the Technical Subcommittee.

Questions regarding sessions, review process and the technical program should be directed to the Technical Subcommittee:
